King's Rules
How Taco King actually eats. Street tacos at the centre, Oaxaca grated by hand, cheese melted on the tortilla first, and room for a Thai curry that still goes to taco heaven.
01
Street tacos are the core
Street tacos. That's the core of the million. Corn tortilla, meat, onion, cilantro, lime. Everything else is extra.
02
Grate your own cheese
Stop putting pre-grated cheese on your tacos. You'll notice the difference. Best cheese on a taco: Oaxaca.
03
Melt the cheese on the tortilla first
Ever melted the cheese on the tortilla first? Do that. Especially birria. Especially bacon. Especially everything.
04
Double up the corn
Warm corn tortillas. Double them. One tortilla is a leak. Two is a taco.
05
Lime is not optional
A lime wedge is part of the build, not garnish. Squeeze it.
06
Onion and cilantro are the crown
White onion, diced small. Cilantro, chopped. That's the finish on almost every taco worth eating.
07
Breakfast still counts
Eggs, bacon, Oaxaca, hot sauce. Which hot sauce is the best on breakfast tacos is a fight I'll watch all day.
08
Fusion is allowed
Seabass and prawn Thai curry can go to taco heaven. If it still eats like a taco, it's a taco.
09
Love a rolled up taco
Different shape. Same religion. Fry them gold.
10
Tacos in your eyes
If it doesn't look juicy, keep cooking. The taco should look insane.
Taco of the Month is still running.
Every taco of the day is eligible. The King picks his favourite. Bring a photo, add one to the million.
